2008 Weblog Awards

by Dave Schuler on December 30, 2008

The Glittering Eye has been named as a finalist in the Best Small Blog category of the 2008 Weblog Awards. I’m very grateful for the nomination.

I note that the Watcher’s Council is pretty well represented this year with The Colossus of Rhodey nominated as a finalist in the Best Up and Coming Blog category and former Council members Right Wing Nut House nominated in the Best Conservative Blog category, The Moderate Voice nominated in the Best Major Blog category, Patterico’s Pontifications nominated in the Best Very Large Blog category, and The Sundries Shack nominated in the Best Up and Coming Blog category.

The complete list of finalists is here.

Voting will begin on January 5 and will continue through January 12. You’ll be able to vote once every day of the voting so, as we say here in Chicago, vote early and often!

Congratulations to all of the nominees.

Nicely done, Dave. You’re most deserving.

Thanks for another great year of blogging, Dave. When I want an informed, even-handed opinion on the news of the day, your place is where I start. I’ll definitely be voting for you.

Congrats Dave! Your blog was one of my happiest discoveries online last year.
